Buses have always been a family passion for Founder Bill Hinds. He learned the business from his father and grandfather before going out on his own in 1984 with just two employees and his personal savings account.
 

American Transfers & Tours began by operating tours for senior groups. A few years later, recognizing where the industry was headed, Bill shifted the focus to convention transportation and spent countless hours building relationships with convention organizers, meeting planners, and event professionals. Many of those relationships have lasted decades, and they opened the door to citywide conventions, national conferences, and professional sporting events.
 

By 1998 the company had expanded into parking management, allowing it could handle more of what a major event requires in-house. Since those early days, ATT has grown from two people into a nationwide operation.
 

Bill retired as President in 2026 and continues to serve as a consultant to ATT.
